Kaitlynisms

IMG_7819Kaitlyn has been talking up coming up with all sorts of new ways to say things lately and sometimes it is like playing the game Mad Gab when we are trying to figure out what it is she is telling us.

Here are some of the latest “Kaitlynisms:”

“'Mack Daddys east!”                          translation: “Smack Daddy’s yeast!”
Took us a minute to realize she wanted to smack the nutrient pack in that activates Nate’s brewing yeast – she does love helping with things!

“All done seeping Daddy/Mommy!”    - pretty obvious, but this usually comes after she’s been in bed for all of 2 minutes and she’s decided she’s all done sleeping.

“I ungy, need sood!”                              translation: “I’m hungry, need food!”

“Up Mommy, carry you!”                - Kaitlyn knows her name, but usually refers to herself as “you.”

“Talk Grandma Pu-pu”                            translation: “ Talk to Grandma on the computer?  Kaitlyn is a little Skype addict!  She will talk to anyone on the computer, though she gets a lot goofier and shows off a lot more if Daddy is the one in charge of the call.

“Watch doddies, horshies, wideos –pees!”  translation: “Watch doggie/ horsey, videos – please!”  We don’t let Kaitlyn watch t.v., but every once-in-a while she does get to watch a youtube video of some sort of animal…she loves animals!

“See wooms!”                                             translation: “See worms!”  We’ve been getting the gardens ready for spring planting and Kaitlyn has discovered that she likes to watch worms wriggle!

“House tinky, wee-you! backume! mop!”               translation: “House stinky, pee-ew! vacuum! mop!”  Apparently Grandma Terri had something stinky in her house and Kaitlyn was quite concerned about it for about a week after Grandma told her about it.  And, of course Kaitlyn LOVES to tell me that I need to vacuum and mop on a daily basis.  I think she just likes watching…

“Monnies, come see me!”                                     translation: “Bunnies, come see me!”  Of course, it could easily be birdies, horsies, doggies, or any other animal or person she can think of.

Currently I’m being beckoned from the bath – “Mommy, dye hair?!”   (Mommy, dry hair?) so that’s my cue!  Though her words are hardly done justice once they are put on paper – since they don’t carry her funny inflection or sweet little voice, they are still pretty darn cute.

Hope you enjoyed the "Kaitlynisms” and the random pictures!

I am so glad Kaitlyn is carrying on the tradition Mommy started years ago. Hope she continues to coin unique phrases and make up new words through her whole life.
