How Does a Dinosaur Say Happy Birthday?

While in SL we got to see my folks too! Kaitlyn was so happy to see her Papa and Nama Kathy and to go to the new Utah Museum of Natural History.  IMG_9025IMG_9031IMG_9034IMG_9063IMG_9066IMG_9038

After the museum and seeing some pretty cool dinosaur exhibits the Kaitlyn was a little hungry and kept trying to “eat” Ethan “mmmm num, num, num…”  Ethan was really not to sure about his sweet little cousin…maybe she isn’t so sweet?

Then they started to ham it up….

Until the birthday cake arrived….

Yes, that is a lady bug – no, that wasn’t how it was intended to look, no I didn’t re-do the batch to try to get them to come out of the pan better – cake is cake and Kaitlyn loved it!  That is really all that matters anyway, right?

Ethan knew he’d get a bug too…

One more round of Happy Birthday for Ethan and then it was time to dig in!

Then, on to presents!

The new Utah Museum of Natural History is spectacular and has so many interactive exhibitsnfor kids of all ages, even us! We loved the "smell" buttons, putting scent out in puffs, but I refuse to smell a dinosaur's meat meal!

The bug cakes were a big hit, and I'm glad both kids had so much caring family with which to celebrate.
