Spinning Out of Control

Wow!  What a week!  I can’t believe it is Sunday and we are starting the whole thing over again tomorrow!  Yikes!  Well, let me fill you in on the events of the last week….

Kaitlyn and I started off the week with colds, luckily they didn’t last too long and by the end of the week we were both back to normal! But, what a drag to end Spring Break with!

Kaitlyn is still loving gymnastics on Mondays and music class on Tuesdays, and now she’s back in swimming on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Tuesday was a long day since K was so excited about going to swimming that she couldn’t possibly sleep.  By the time she and Nate got back from swimming she was pooped and fell asleep right away…she’s moved up a level on swim class and is getting to be a little more independent in the water.  She’s even getting to the point she can go underwater without freaking out and with holding her breath.  Yeah!

Wednesday we (Kaitlyn and I) decided to try some spin art.  I had seen somewhere on Pinterest that someone used a salad spinner and paint to make shamrocks.  Kaitlyn loves using the salad spinner on lettuce so I figured this was up her ally and add in paint and glitter!!!! What more could a girl ask for!?!

Edwin the flying skunk showed up on Thursday morning.  Kaitlyn was laughing all day about how Edwin was stinking the house up.  By Friday Edwin was needing time-outs for doing naughty things…Apparently Kaitlyn let Edwin in at some point and Edwin just really likes it here.  Who can blame him though.  It is a pretty great house!  Sorry, currently we don’t have any pictures of Edwin…we’re working on it though!

Friday Kaitlyn went all night for the first time without a diaper!  She’s been staying dry at night for about a month so we decided it was time ot switch over to unders for nights too!  SUPER EXCITING!!!!!!

Saturday we spent the day just hanging out and prepping for the Easter Bunny to come.  We had to make some treats so Kaitlyn decided cupcakes were in order and what kind of cupcakes do you make for the Easter Bunny?  Carrot of course!

What a great use for the lettuce spinner! Lovely modern art, Kaitlyn, and all that glitter makes it especially special!
