2009 Top Ten List

 

Our Top Ten List for 2009
These are the highlights of the year...

1. Bought our first home in February!

2. Had our first visitors – Nate's dad braved the frigid temps in February & the Roseburgs came to break in the new furniture at the beginning of April!

  

3. Survived the coldest winter we could possibly imagine – temps. were at -40!

 

4. Traveled to Taipei and ate the local delicacies in May.

5. Enjoyed planning out and putting in garden beds and boarders  in the back yard.

 

6. Showed my folks around Ames and enjoyed a surprisingly good 4th of July show.

7. Celebrated Nate receiving his first NSF (National Science Foundation) grant!

  7.5 Nate rode two days of RAGBRI - Southern Iowa is NOT flat!  

8. Became Aunt Jen & Uncle Nate when Lindsey and Aaron (sister & her hubby) had Ethan in August.

9. Racked up some frequent flier miles between Des Moines, Salt Lake, Seattle, and Denver for family visits, friend visits, and weddings between September and November.

10. Hosted our first Thanksgiving in our new home complete with family and friends!
